About Kisby-Barlow-Hall
Please sign in to see more. This is a record of my paternal family tree, which I have been compiling since the 1980's. At the turn of the 20th century 'my' Kisby's and Barlow's arrived in Leeds, Yorkshire, thanks to the spread of the railways. The Halls seem to have originated in rural East Yorkshire.
Most of the names in this tree will be of the Fenland Kisby's of Eastern England. Kisby's have lived in the area of Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire for many centuries and the name originated in Lincolnshire in the 1200's. The furthest point I have reached in my findings are my great x 9 grandparents Robert Batson (d.1662) and Margaret Harding, who probably lived in or near Whittlesea, Cambridgeshire.
